Vantaggi
$175k base salary but God awful commission structure.
Svantaggi
Horrible/nonexistent onboarding or training. Had no direct manager for most of the 6 months I was there. Kept being told to hang tight and/or being sent on internal goose chases to find someone who could answer a basic question. Gatekeeping to the max on active accounts, no one wants to make intros. 0 guidance or performative review given and then they laid me off right after Q2 like it was my fault I wasn't closing anything yet. I wasn't even fully ramped! I've never gone so long without closing a deal. I had one deal in progress, a $15k architecture review, and it took weeks of dealing with internal red tape to get it to move forward. Of course the day I got laid off is the day I finally heard back from everyone I was waiting on to begin approvals so I could get it out for signature. Oh, and the last solution architect they had quit on his own because it was such a mess, so currently there's no support at all for any of the sellers. It's a mess and of course they blame anyone but upper management. I never had a quota formally assigned until May 13th, when they hit me with $6.2m... I was told $3-5m when they hired me.
