Vantaggi
- Easy-going, fun culture (was more formal before, now more casual). - Promotes good work-life balance and employee initiatives. - Encourages open, fun communication that builds trust, excellence, and innovation. - All hierarchy levels are approachable, helped by shared HQ space. - Supports hybrid work (2-3 days per week). - Management differs by dept; in Data, no micromanagement - flexible as long as goals met.
Svantaggi
Still too attached to old power structures: - Some managerial areas act superior to others, respected more out of fear/status quo despite lacking needed knowledge. - IT gatekeeps business logic/data, mixing disorganization with control - creates red tape delaying progress months/years, drip-feeds access, treats all other areas asking for any type of access as a security risk on a very strict need-to-know basis. - Technical roles (analysts, devs) seen as "less" valuable than management/strategic roles - fewer promotions, unclear growth, stagnant pay despite more work/complexity. Only leadership paths exist for career growth. Team or project managers and directors always have somewhat clear progression paths and get promoted from time to time, while technical jobs keep getting paid almost the same, stuck on the same position despite work increasing in quantity and technical complexity, and this being the main source of value that management needs to work.
