I completely agree with the previous person’s review — in my experience, working at ACS has been extremely challenging. After the latest round of redundancies, I was one of the "lucky ones" who kept my role. Unfortunately, morale has been at an all-time low, and many of us are struggling with a lack of clear communication about who remains in the business and what the strategic direction is.
The leadership is disconnected from the staff, and no genuine concern for employees and members - especially elected members. They got rid of some of the most dedicated, talented people and now they've left the rest of us to clean up the mess. From my perspective, leadership hasn’t provided the clarity or reassurance we need. Maybe we'll get some answers at the next all hands meeting but I'm not optimistic. I often feels like questions aren’t genuinely welcomed.
We also recently had a mandatory psychological safety workshop — which, to me, felt more like a compliance exercise than a real effort to improve workplace culture. The C-suite members were noticeably disengaged. Overall, my personal confidence in the organisation’s direction has diminished over time, and I know I'm not alone. I’ve started updating my CV, and I know many of my colleagues are doing the same.
