You get to meet interesting people (both clients and staff) that have a variety of life experiences. You can learn something every single day if you are willing to listen and be open to a different perspective.

The recovery business is, in fact, a business. While ARC is above a lot of money driven treatment centers, they do have their own version of it. The leaders are strong and charismatic. They know that as well and can rely on charm rather than substance in situations they assumably don't deem important to them. That's just a part of life, but they lead a company that brags about being better than the rest - more honest, more integrity - and they can use dismissive language to the lower level people who do such important work.
