Everything else. -Toxic management on all levels. -Refusal to give clear and consistent KPIs or goals. -Reporting was a joke. -Coaching was just a lecture about "do better," -was told to "follow the script" but also "do better discovery" but also "dont ask why they are in the market for a refinance loan". -Managers texting clients as me at all hours of weekdays and weekends alike causing confusion, overwhelm, and lost deals. -Chats monitored to a degree that all of my friendly coworkers resorted to texting because they were constantly being talked to about this chat or that chat of told to not message each other. -Loan Consultants were made the call queue for customer service. If your client calls in (even if you Just Left A Voicemail for them.) and you miss that call, it goes to the queue, whoever gets that call, closes that deal, and its no longer your lead. I could go on.

When I started I was encouraged and trusted to follow my ambitions to help develop processes for an upcoming department. Leadership, although on different pages at times, saw the mutual goal and was able to work together to ensure fair and just protocols that served the best customer experience. Dynamic was that of a strong team moving through trial and errors. This isn’t to say there weren’t disagreements but they were usually worked though together. Truly a great stepping stone in my career and will remain one of my favorite jobs.

Toward the end of my experience and after much senior leadership change, processes were quickly redirected for more internal reasons that would ultimately no longer deliver best customer experience and allow there to be a lack of accountability to those creating hostile work environments. “Fighting the good fight” for customers and basic ethics was no longer welcome but rather made you a target. At my level of management, I felt I was used as a puppet to deliver the bad news to team members with no explanation and used as a shield for upper Management to not have to take the heat. I was no longer being given tools to develop and learn, I was now part of the problem. I ultimately left because I no longer felt valued and wanted to move on from the internal toxicity that bled from top down.
