Vantaggi
strong products and talented coworkers, hybrid work
Svantaggi
The company I joined years ago emphasized values, people, and long-term careers. Over time, it has become a highly impersonal organization where employees often feel treated as headcount rather than individuals. There have been multiple significant workforce reductions within a short period. roughly 9% of staff in 2025 followed by another 7% cut in 2026 as part of ongoing restructuring and strategic shifts. The repeated cycles of layoffs create a constant sense of insecurity and make long-term commitment difficult. Leadership appears distant from day-to-day realities. Many senior leaders have been in place for decades, and management approaches often feel rigid and top-down rather than adaptive. Communication tends to rely heavily on corporate messaging rather than practical engagement with employee concerns. Workload expectations have expanded substantially. The implicit norm is continuous availability, yet compensation and career progression have not kept pace with the broader tech market. Salaries are not competitive relative to the demands of the role. teams remain understaffed after reductions, stress and pressure level very high. From an employee perspective, raising workload or wellbeing concerns rarely results in meaningful change. The environment increasingly feels transactional: performance output is prioritized above sustainability, and employees often feel valued primarily while they are producing at a high level, rather than supported for long-term development. Overall, the company still has strong products and talented coworkers, but candidates should be aware they are joining a high-pressure environment with limited sense of stability or personal recognition.
