Vantaggi

Autodesk offers a great deal of flexibility, which has made it easier to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The ability to work remotely and manage my schedule is something I really appreciate, though there are times when workload demands can make that balance harder to sustain. I also value the overall culture at Autodesk. The environment is generally welcoming, collaborative, and people-focused, with colleagues who are supportive and willing to help. At the same time, there can sometimes be a noticeable difference between how leadership views the employee experience and what teams are experiencing day to day.

Svantaggi

In terms of growth, I appreciate that Autodesk provides access to professional development opportunities and meaningful benefits like sabbaticals. However, career progression can feel somewhat limited or slow, especially when teams are impacted by restructuring or shifting business priorities. I’ve had positive experiences with many peers and managers who are committed and thoughtful in their work. That said, communication from senior leadership could be clearer and more transparent, particularly during times of change, as this would help employees feel more informed and secure.

Vantaggi

The individual contributors, your peers you work with day in and day out are fantastic people! At the IC level, for the most part, it feels like everyone is in the fight together. The work/life balance is good depending on which business unit/team you're aligned with. The benefits are pretty solid, especially the 6 week sabbatical.

Svantaggi

Autodesk moves at the pace of a snail, very slow to take action on anything. Selling is very difficult with all the undocumented approvals, processes, red tape and very few people are willing to actually help! Leadership doesn't care about the people their decisions impact. Feedback is rarely listened to and acted upon. Pay is terrible compared to competitors in this space. Autodesk has embraced a ton of change over the last few years with new marketing, sales and IT leadership and it shows. They are not shy in showing their desire to be the next Oracle at the expense of their people. They are constantly changing tools, processes, people, roles, you name it so you feel like you're under water constantly. Lipstick on a pig.
