- New CEO comes across as too all-American, doesn't act appropriately when presenting to staff globally. - Constant reorgs disrupts projects and morale - frustrating place to work - Autodesk is an American company: leadership opportunities are pretty much limited to San Francisco and American people...being located outside of HQ makes career progression almost impossible. It is not a global company and doesn't place enough value on people in EMEA or APAC. - Staff treated by senior leaders with disrespect - playing around with people's careers when they don't even know who you are and what you do - Pay and gradings are below where they should be; salaries compared to SF are too low, even with the cost of living factored in - Structured and tries to operate like a big company even though it's not - with less than 7000 employees Autodesk has far too many layers of management and too many complex policies, thus everything takes forever to get done and lots of politics from Snr Mgt upwards. - Allegedly wants to be a 'customer company' but in fact is doing everything it can to upset customers, doesn't want to listen to staff at the coalface who understand customers and their dissatisfaction - Autodesk is so worried about being sued that Legal has a massive say in everything - Vast majority of people working here right now won't leave because of the benefits but will be very happy when they're made redundant with a pay off

Autodesk has, hands down, one of the warmest and most supportive corporate cultures I’ve ever experienced. From day one, people were welcoming, respectful, kind, and genuinely available to help. Even as a contract worker, I never felt like an outsider. I felt included, trusted, and treated like part of the team. The marketing team was an incredible group: collaborative, smart, generous with their time, and always willing to answer questions. Autodesk also has a true teaching culture. You never feel silly for asking questions, and there is a clear willingness across teams to help people learn, improve, and succeed. Operationally, the company was also impressively efficient. The technology, meeting tools, scheduling systems, and general workflows made it easy to connect with people, set appointments, collaborate, and keep work moving without unnecessary friction. Overall, Autodesk set the bar for what a healthy corporate culture can feel like: organized, human, respectful, inclusive, and genuinely collaborative. Pros: Warm culture, helpful people, strong tools and technology, respectful teams, inclusive environment, great marketing organization.
