- Those who have worked at Avado, before the 2022 change of leadership, are some of the kindest and most talented people I've ever met - Hybrid working (flexibility with remote workers) * For the majority of my time at Avado, I had a blast, however, it sadly didn’t end on this note. Before early 2022, Avado had an enviable culture, with highly skilled employees who would work overtime to complete tight deadlines. I enjoyed coming in to work, whether that was remotely or in person, because the people exuded such fantastic energy - they truly cared about what was produced. Mental health, inclusion and a reward culture was embraced by everyone (including the C-Suite), however, by H2 2022, a lot of these qualities were under threat. Even as I praise the hybrid working model, I fear that this too is at risk. To see how much a company has transformed – and not for the better – is deeply troubling.

- Salaries are below the national average - Poor financial decision-making (never striking the right balance) - Current leadership team puts profits over people management - Several restructures/high staff turnover If you asked me in 2021 where I'd be in 5 years' time, I'd have said Avado; but if you asked me a year later, it was a very different picture. True, Avado had its flaws – people were underpaid and often overworked, but people were passionate about what they did. I had colleagues, leaders and a manager who saw my talent, embraced it and put me on a path of progression. During COVID-19, the company made some errors, they made cuts and didn't take full advantage of furlough, and when things picked up, they over-hired. Even so, the culture remained strong, open and had incredibly talented employees who delivered quality work. When 2022 came, teams were drastically cut and a lot of those talented employees were let go. Those who were left had to take on additional work (that wasn't in their remit and wasn't financially rewarded) and expected to feel grateful that they weren't on the chopping block. For me, 2022 felt like constant whiplash, where I wasn’t sure whether I’d have a job by the next month. Whilst it sounds like the company may be back in profit, I have to ask, at what cost? It truly saddens me how far the company has fallen. In short, this company contributed to some of the best and worst years of my life.

A bit unorganized at times but that is the start up culture

Thank you for taking the time to review, and sorry for the delay in responding. I must have missed this one somehow. If you feel that you need a more structured / organised environment, please speak to Niall or Marissa who will definitely be able to help you. I know the US team is close-knit but we can always improve the way we communicate within teams... If you have suggestions, please share them!
