5 years of answering tickets from 9-5 M-F only to be let go with no warning. I was given a promotion, but the only thing that changed was I had to focus solely on the most difficult tickets nobody else could. So naturally, I got burned out and cynical. Instead of asking me what I needed to succeed, they fired me for making a mistake bred from alienation. No warning, no offers for help or advice. I defended the company thinking they would defend me, but no, the moment I was no longer useful I was thrown aside with 5 years of education on a software I will never use.
