Elitist culture. Very clicky. A building full of a battle of egos. Loved my job but the culture was so bad I had to leave. Toxic work environment. Upper management is not focused on employee development or retention but rather more interested in their own image and what people think of them. It’s a very cold employment environment. Message given to employee by there managers is just to do what I tell you to do. Senior management and Directors don’t acknowledge your presence in a room with a simple hello. They also don’t acknowledge you at industry conferences you both attend. Senior managers micro managed every word of every email, sometimes writing it themselves and making you send it. Bully mentality from co-workers was not dealt with well in almost all functional groups. The very people who were/are responsible for the decline of employee moral also headed the committee to improve employee moral. My functional group didn’t support individualism, meaning if you didn’t join the cool kids group you were left behind, got flat raises and were not considered for promotions despite performance.
