Unless you were hired before 2021, you can’t succeed at this company, on the sales floor. The “tenured” reps, who have never worked anywhere else before, are given priority leads, and use underhanded tactics to steal leads from every one else. Then if anyone calls them out, or tried to draw leaderships attention to it, they are told they aren’t being a team player, and aren’t thinking of the greater good. The VP of Sales in an all-hands sales meeting, admitted that he had his 8 favorite reps, that he’ll do anything to make them succeed. But that’s what happens when your only experience before being a VP is being an entry level sdr at an actually successful tech company. Every quarter there was some new “tactic” that needed to be taken in order to win business, but nothing actually happened. The VP of sales is more interested in doing onsites with his favorite reps than dedicating time to helping any new reps. For example, they asked reps to start adding them to more calls, which people did, only to find out he would join, work on something else on his laptop (which was obvious to everyone in the meeting, including the clients) say 1 sentence, if you were lucky, then rush out for some other meeting he had. Completely pointless.
