- Micromanagement, leaders love to jump to calls discussing technical topics when normally they say "it is just... " when it is not. Leadership adopts dismissive behavioural and is used to reducing all the the team's capacities to none or below expectations - It is impossible to confront with another idea that is not the same as the leadership. Sometimes they have to fail in their point first and even so it is always an adjustment to your option (because they have to be right in the end) - Leadership adopts favoritism behavioural with yes-man and people pleaser, even if they are the reason of majority of the errors appear - Leadership is not well prepared and generally does not understand the projects or the issues, even if it is transmited more than once by the senior leadership - Data quality is not even a topic in this department (basic checks, like duplicate registers, nulls, and so forth) - Models do not have statistical meaning, they tend to be an average or a median by different factors - Planning does not exist - leadership asks first the deadline to do a task before fully understanding what is needed - Zero accountability on the leadership, using always excuses for projects to fail, but zero empathy when it is the technical team failing some deadline - Attrition rate in this department is very high, so it results on people being overloaded with work
