GREAT visionaries in the medical field! World-wide offices. There are many opportunities to generate work/projects. People are very kind and although answers to questions about processes are not readily known, they usually help resource to get answers. The campus is pleasant and going through renovations. There are kind reminders on our pathway from building one to building two....feels serene :)

VERY broken internal systems. Support staff such as admins, facilities, IT, etc... don't know where one process ends and the other begins which causes SO MANY unnecessary cycles that waste time and money. EVERY time I ask questions to get a process down I am met with "I don't know"...which continuously gives me the opportunity to grow and figure things out (I think I need more money!) The processes coming out of our East Coast headquarters is very disjointed from the West Coast processes, so there is some friction between departments, but I think they're working on that. For those of us on the West Coast, there is much to be desired from HQ's approach to things, but hey, it's a job! Also, not all EA's are supported to attend events to further their career. As a matter of fact, a "facilities" person was supported to attend an EA event in another state while my friend who is an EA and requested support, was passed over! That was foul. In a valley where the Googles and FaceBooks are treating their employees out to GREAT events/travel etc, this company does not. I feel suffocated like I'm working in a box while other companies are free and outdoors and still get the job done. The desire to work on company morale is not at BD (unless you make them money).....at least that's what the SJ campus shows us. I work very hard (fixing broken things in addition to doing my job) and I do not feel good about my job. If other BD employees read this and say "No way! As an EA, I get to enjoy MANY perks at BD", they would be proving my point. The point is that no one knows what the other is doing and the Admin community is not whole at BD. There is no ONE place a person can go to see the possibilities that surround them. Benies are not that great......I still pay $2k out of pocket before medical coverage chimes in and I was warned that in 2016 medical benefits are doing to drop further.......something like having a co-op insurance or something like that. If you interview here, PLEASE make sure you ask about benefits and EXACTLY where they will be in 2016. Personally, I have another offer and I am moving on......GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!
