Vantaggi

There is a unique sense of camaraderie at BVK that I'm not sure you can find elsewhere. Casual dress code is a plus, and the unique work space allows everyone to have their own privacy that's typically not common for cubicle life. Develop a good working relationship with your team and department members and they'll have your back.

Svantaggi

Entry-level positions, whether it be in media, creative, account service or elsewhere are completely taken advantage of. Meager starting salaries are the norm...of which they'll tell you you're at the top of the salary range, even though there seems to be one flat number. Starting salary won't reflect any previous experience or otherwise. Beyond pay, personal growth isn't a focus here. Trying to coordinate a yearly review is a feat in of itself, and any discussion regarding promotion is swiftly dismissed or delayed as long as possible. All that and they'll take advantage of long hours from you while dangling the carrot of a promotion. To summarize: You'll learn a lot in your beginning years at BVK that will take you far in your next role, but this place does not care for rewarding hard work and is indifferent to you staying long term with the company.

Vantaggi

Cool, modern office with lots of character. Cool clients.

Svantaggi

I applied for one job and after interviewing, was offered another, lower paid and temporary conditional offer. During that 3 month stint, I was on a team of all women, which as a woman myself is not inherently a problem. But I was ostracized, I would see everyone else at lunch together and I didn't get the invite. In one meeting with my boss and one other senior coworker, my boss proceeded to ask if I was happy working there because I had "resting (you know what) face." I was stunned. I talked to other people on other teams who had different experiences so I think it was not reflective of the entire org but it was definitely a very toxic, unhappy environment and at the end of the three months, when I didn't get the full time offer, I was honestly relieved.
