Vantaggi

The process is laid out, there is a really great sales mentor here, a new CRM tool is easy to use, nice people

Svantaggi

Very micro-management until you win their trust (which is tough), not a lot of support if you're struggling - help borderlines bullying. Your job is threatened constantly if you do not perform. You're expected to know everything once training completes - training is 3 months ramp up and you're not really free to express yourself. This is the banking industry but this place does act like a really old company. It is NOT a fresh situation, there are not a lot of great tools for prospecting and it's very "call until you get them". You're treated like you're an idiot if you're under 40 years old. There is zero trust in employees and management borderlines abuse in how they react. There's yelling if you don't understand something right away or you're told that your age is a barrier to your job, there is no HR to report to. Your time and days off are watched like a hawk. You are not allowed to be sick as a sales rep. I would not recommend applying here.

Vantaggi

There are some good people who work here (e.g., Michael Sacks). They can give you actionable advice on how to progress accounts, demo the product, and ultimately be successful.

Svantaggi

Michael Sacks is (as of December 2024) in poor health. Accordingly, managing the sales team has fallen to Phyllis Simon, the CEO's wife. She confuses age with wisdom and thinks she is God's gift to sales. In your 1-on-1's with her, she will berate you for every little thing you did wrong. If you haven't done anything wrong, she'll make something up. Ever heard the phrase "there's no such thing as a dumb question"? To Phyllis, there's no such thing as a good question. She is not there to help you. Turnover has been a problem for years there, and of the half dozen former salespeople I've spoken to, each has specified Phyllis as the problem. If it was just me, fine, maybe I'm bitter. But it isn't just me.
