Vantaggi
I have worked at BW Legal for just short of a year and can say I have been given opportunities to develop through additional duties, training and mentoring that will help me progress my career. If you work hard and show promise, this will be recognised by management and the owner. There have been changes introduced recently to reflect the growing size of the business. These include an introduction of productivity and quality targets; however, this is the case with every business and they are realistic and achievable. There has also been an introduction of health and finance benefits to help support staff. Some general information about the business: There is a social club that organises charity event days in the office and paid for social events such as Christmas parties and summer BBQ. The office is a relaxed environment and comfort breaks are allowed (looking at some of the previous reviews, I have no understanding of where the ‘you are made to feel it is a privilege to have toilet and tea breaks’ comes from??). The facilities are great including kitchen areas on each floor, a subsidised canteen, coffee machines and vending machines. I have a young family and the management are more than understanding and are realistic with their expectations. I have never had any issues with flexibility and discussing any issues I may have. From working here it’s clear that the owner puts a lot of effort into the business and its staff. She is friendly and talks to staff and always comes to social events. The business is medium size and you don’t just feel like a number.
Svantaggi
The business has grown massively in a short period and it has taken time to catch up to this with policies, benefits and procedures. The changes have taken time as you would expect but the majority of these are now in place and it’s clear that effort has been put in to do this correctly.
