Vantaggi
- External communication/material was neatly packaged although it was clearly ripped off from other tech companies - Internal updates happened relatively fast and effectively - Some really talented people - Was a solid camaraderie (until you realize everyone is stressed out and over worked hence why they all hang out with each other so much)
Svantaggi
- Bambuser has hands down the absolute worst management I have ever experienced. The top 3-4 C-suite managers all know each other and only favor those who they will gain something from, so forget that raise and career advancement opportunities unless you're really tight with them - C-level individuals provide no visible added value to the organization in terms of knowledge/day-to-day improvements except for attending lavish events and bragging about their "skills" and their awesome clients (aka LVMH) on LinkedIn - They overwork their staff and bend over backwards for their clients providing them with any solution they want stretching developers and everyone else thin - There was never a clear goal of where the company was headed, lot's of client churns - This company has been on a downward spiral for a long time and it's not surprising: if you are a company looking to explore the benefits of live commerce (which there certainly are), there are plenty of competitors who will do it faster, cheaper and better. If you're a company looking to engage with your community, why would need to integrate a whole new platform on your e-commerce to engage with them? Most likely, all of your customers are readily available on your social media platforms and most of these (YouTube, Instagram etc) provide exactly the same service at no added cost, just not the option to buy directly from the video player which is Bambuser's only USP (there are plenty of clever ways you can encourage purchases from viewers without having to integrate a platform like Bambuser to your site)
