- Bandwidth regularly loses high quality developers and struggles to replace them effectively; during COVID, bad policies led to an exodus of talent continues to ripple through the company today. I have had four different managers in a little over four years, and zero of the people I started with are still here. - The company acquired Voxbone about a year and a half ago and is still struggling to become a truly global company. There are efforts underway to accomplish this, but no one really has a strong vision of the product. I suspect part of this is due to the exodus mentioned before - At a development level, there's sometimes a lot of process to go through, as well as meddling from higher ups. It definitely promotes the idea of "it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission" - Bandwidth is still struggling to become a true software company. It has XML APIs without token-based auth...
