Vantaggi
There are great people and great projects to work on and BearingPoint. If you can figure out how to navigate clear of the bad people / bad projects, you will be happy here. Being able to control your own destiny is one of BE's best attributes. There is also a renewed and vigorous re-examination of benefits - specifically the Yale Program and the 401(k) program - which will help bring the company up to industry standards. The financial problems of the past few years were a major drag on these programs and everything else "corporate" about BE, but at the project level there has been much less of an impact. If you are optimistic about the comapny's outlook and not afraid of yesterday's problems, this is a great place to work.
Svantaggi
If you land on a small project, it is pretty easy to become disconnected from corporate BearingPoint. This is probably true of any consulting company, but there is not enough effort on pulling consultants back into the corporate sphere right now. Also, there is quite a legacy from the past few years regarding the company's financial troubles, and there are moments when I question management's ability to overcome that legacy.
