This was a foot hold for Bekaert, a global steel wire manufacturer that serviced the west coast and pacific northwest. It should have been a much more profitable area. excellent position for the pulp wire market and log bundling strand. Union workers kept a strangle hold on skilled labor.

Svantaggi

Manpower was constantly an issue and caused problems with invetory and scheduling. Quality department was struggling to keep up with innovation for areas that could have been very profitable for this area of North American market.

Targets will never be attainable and never adjust to market conditions/reprioritization of business that impacts your’s Can’t focus solely on sales, putting out fires most of the time. The blame falls on Sales (plant issues, procurement issues, past dues from high claim rates, etc) Leadership isn’t out in the market, only with top accounts. Overall, doesn’t seem interested with customers and seems to not really support Sales.
