A maniacal obsession with the stock price and being valued 'like an electronics company instead of a wire company' is the mantra of senior management. If VP's of Sales aren't generating numbers in one year, they're out or exiled, re-igniting the whole merry-go-round yet again. The use of SDP is also mis-managed. Employees throughout the organization will do anything to avoid 'going red', and triggering a wave of countermeasures and extra monthly paperwork. Frequently they do the wrong thing for the business and customers just to avoid this death spiral.
