work-life balance is the best of anywhere in my opinion (management is keen on everyone going home at 5), i feel empowered to make decisions to perform my job, the environment is startup-like in that the products are leading edge, new and still in that "lets figure out the best way to do this" mode, very casual environment, plenty of room to grow, people are like one big family, all the high tech tools i need are provided, accessible environment, great customers

if you need to be told exactly what to do and how to meet goals, this is not the place, you are expected to use your own best practices, this is not a place for procrastination, also you need to be able to move fast and wear many hats, no hiding

It was nice to have the quarterly meetings where food was brought it along with drinks. It felt like a fun and enjoyable place to work. That's about it.

The mis-management at the top with no real clue of how IT works was pretty obvious. The people at the top had no problem spending large amounts of money on themselves while "team building". It felt like it was a boys club while having no real responsibility handling issues within various teams. Benefits were expensive which didn't help either.
