Vantaggi
Colleagues tend to be friends (until management goes out of the way to turns people against each other) and ability to network with clients so you can work in a professional environment. Free Friday lunch on occasion.
Svantaggi
Unfair practices and treatment of employees. Extreme drama is fueled by management and the setting is very unprofessional. Basically 0 growth opportunities. Management actually makes it harder for you to do a good job and learn or listen to the management at other branches who are responsible for a certain aspect of your job that your management is probably clueless about. Theres a constant morality battle because you have to choose if you want to follow the rules or be a favorite and “cool” employee so you are treated OK and not gossiped about and bullied. They also don’t want to pay you more and even push you down so that they don’t have to. If you care about career growth at all then this will be a temp gig. Also, long work hours with sometimes illegal practices…this is not a 9-5 and without lunch you end up working 2+ hours longer than any other normal career job each day. Favoritism is not based on attitude, work, or effort. It’s a sorority and a boys club. Gossip is extremely prevalent and is said from management to your equals…constantly. Often the management style is lifting one person up by pushing another person down instead of lifting up each employee based on their skills and hard work. Usually all the work falls on 1 or 2 people and they are often under appreciated and even bullied because they are not cool in management’s eyes. Salary is extremely low even if you end up enjoying it there. If you are lazy and come from money you will probably do well there while the other employees continue to suffer.
