Learned a lot on the job. Paid training. Great coworkers and friendly people. Many different times of shift. Sleeping overnights at many home with same hourly pay. Long shifts (20 hours) with sleep avaliable. Good vacation and sick time. Many chances to advance slightly. Almost always able to work overtime if desired due to open shifts, and you make time and a half.

Long shifts. Feel under supported. Constantly understaffed. The Program Coordinators are required to work overtime every week because they are salaried and they don't make time and a half like direct care staff. I think our PC has worked overtime every week since she was hired (+60 hours some times). A coworker was injured on the job and was declined workers comp. After fighting with a lawyer she was essentially fired from the position. This really was handled poorly.
