Vantaggi
The ethos of Benenden Health is about putting members at the heart of what we do, I feel that this is something we do everyday. Regardless of if you are member facing or not, you still feel like you're contributing to the wellbeing of our members and actually helping people! There are career/development opportunities there if you want them. There is a good work life balance. The people that work at Benenden are so welcoming and friendly to one another, it makes it such and easy place to work. The benefits are great: currently we get regular health assessments, a generous pension offering , cycle to work scheme, cash plan and corporate Benenden membership. There are lots of other benefits but those are some of the main ones. There is great employee engagement too: we get volunteering opportunities, summer and winter parties, fund raising events and there is a real push at the moment for us to be a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace and I think its great that Benenden are taking such initiatives seriously. All in all I think Benenden is a great place to work and i'm proud to be a part of it!
Svantaggi
For me personally, none. In my opinion the contact centre is the best place to start your career at Benenden, it gives an integral understanding of how we work and what we're here for to then take forward in your career here. I could be bias due to my role however, I feel that member facing teams need to take the same approach as other departments, when it comes to development. With that said, I do think this is something that the operation teams are aware of and are trying to improve, especially now that we have more staff to cover the incoming calls from members.
