- New sales leadership team: this group, who all come from the same company, are tanking the sales team culture, moral and performance. They are essentially “sales trainers” with VP or higher titles that showcase their inexperience by leading with fear, intimidation and micromanagement. Autonomy is virtually non existent, with qualified and successful sales reps now having to report daily on their activities and “certify” themselves in their mandated and made up scripts for preliminary sales conversations, which they have not tailored to the niche industry or products we sell, and they will gaslight you into thinking you aren’t good at your job if you do not master this. Beyond this, there is little to no support or understanding on how to close complex business and they have quickly clashed with not only the sales team, but other areas across the business too. Pipelines are suffering as a result, so expect to come here to practice how to make 300 unanswered cold calls for the sake of optics, not to actually sell anything.
