If you have an issue that requires HR to intervene, don't bother going to HR. Completely unsupportive with zero regard for how their employees are treated. Will tell you to "give it time" instead of helping to resolve the issue with the parties involved. C-Level executives who belittle, verbally abuse and mistreat their employees are not reprimanded for their poor behavior; instead, the employee is let go without cause, paid off and told to sign an agreement that states the money received is in no way an admission of wrongdoing by Bennett Jones. Of course it's much easier to eliminate the person who is having the issue with the C-Level executive rather than deal with the executive themselves, whether it's out of fear, job security or not wanting to be bothered to actually take on the headache that HR is essentially being paid to resolve. Employees shouldn't have to live in fear of their job being taken away from them if they report an injustice at the firm impacting their ability to perform their job.
