Might be a decent place to work at if you are fresh out of college and/or have no insurance experience.
Svantaggi
Management proudly advised that BerkleyNet maintains one of the lowest operating overhead costs out of all W.R. Berkley subsidiaries, and that having employees push their limits on work production is simply "the BerkleyNet way". So if you want to work here, know that it is literally their mission to get you to take on as much work as possible at as low of pay as they can get away with. High turnover. If you are experienced, expect to spend your days training temps and pulling more than your fair share of work. The workforce is made up of people who have either been there less than 2 years or more than 10+ years. In the 2 years I worked here there were at least 3 major hiring/ turnover periods. And they wonder why they have trouble retaining young insurance professionals. Short-sighted business planning. Obsessed with yearly goals but fails to anticipate the long-term issues that stem from their short-term initiatives - which they will also put on you to fix! Lack of accountability from management spreads down to the lowest levels. There is an executive "inner circle" which runs rampant doing and saying whatever they want. As others have mentioned they have a history of cultural toxicity and covering up for one another. They say they support diversity, and although the Manassas office itself is diverse I fear that may be by design. All I'll say is what i saw from my perspective - why did they approve remote work for several white people and the only ones who were denied weren't white? The entire executive team is old white people. Hilariously enough, my first picture day I remember the CEO intentionally squeezing in-between myself and another non-white person just to get a DEI photo op.
