- Interesting and complex product in a cool industry (insurtech) - The culture of the company is strong; many employees have worked in insurance (claims, underwriting, etc.) so there is a real desire to connect with and help insurers throughout all parts of the policy lifecycle - Company is at a point where it's not only growing but getting tighter and tighter in how it's run; this is good for our future direction - Lots of career growth opportunities if you're willing to roll up your sleeves - Supportive teams; company is very particular in who they hire to maintain a culture that never becomes toxic - There's some ambiguity in the day-to-day, which I love because it allows for more creativity and a chance to try new things and develop new skills - Though I'm often busy, I have a work-life balance; the company does a good job not owning you like some other Silicon Valley companies - Great pay

- At a startup, there is a lot of shifting gears and a high input/volume required from small teams, which can be challenging; although I like working there, this isn't a company for everyone as it really requires the right fit - Benefits are OK, but I expect them to improve as the company continues to grow
