- Poor benefits; weak healthcare, no 401k match. nothing much else to speak of
- Management; the holy trinity (CTO, 2 VPEs) are all bullish, condescending, and deflect blame/responsibility onto everyone else. They aren't receptive to suggestions from the people on the ground, and don't have enough low-level context to do anything other than cause more chaos. Perhaps the best examples of seagulls that I've seen. The new Head of Product however, is fantastic, and I hope they learn/absorb from him and he's able to turn this around
- Burnout; leadership justifies overworking and burning out the teams with "it's a startup" mentality. Despite a lot of attrition lately, they don't acknowledge there is a retention problem and aren't doing anything to address it. They believe that hosting a hackathon will solve all these burnout issues
- HR is performative at best, they don't acknowledge there are cultural problems and don't do anything to fix them
- Diversity is some of the worst I've seen, especially in tech, and especially in management. The company has a DEI-focused value and claim to care about it, but aren't actually doing anything to make meaningful changes. They are forming ERGs now, but said ERGs have no real meaningful change-making power
