Vantaggi

The CEO (not the President) is very intelligent and credible. He isn't a "closed door" executive. I appreciate the effort that has been put in regarding our 401k. It is nice to know that he cares about our futures. There are nice perks. Discounted gym memberships, activities, EAP, Club O membership and various deals that are provided to us as co-op opportunities with local organizations. I like that we are socially responsible via Worldstock, Pet Adoptions, Clean Air and disaster relief efforts as needed. I am also looking forward to the new campus to be built in 2016. I'm impressed with our abilities to innovate; but there is too much red tape to get those ideas enacted (big ideas).

Svantaggi

I have directly reported to the President and she is a nightmare. She manages by fear and the result is a lack of decision-making by her employees. People are afraid to act. The fear of inaction will eventually result in failure. She is uneducated, aggressive and immature. She is the virus at Overstock. However, she does great with company culture and has fun. She would be perfect as the CCO (Company Culture Officer); please just demote her already. Someday I plan to write a book: "How Leadership Viruses can Crumble Billions".

Vantaggi

Coworkers are my main reason for coming back daily, I'd hate to let them down.

Svantaggi

Toxic ceo is more focused on being confrontational than productive. The consensus in his town hall meetings is to 'keep your head down, avoid direct eye contact, do not ask questions'. He's focusing on building the upper management team while regular layoffs of people who actually do the heavy lifting is reducing our actual output.
