Vantaggi
You'll get to see the new "Peace Coliseum", if you make it that long. CEO is quite a laugh, as well as the President. "Stand-up's" there are literally like watching a stand up comedy act (not that good though). Free coffee, where you can choose espresso, latte, regular, or even hot chocolate! Santa comes around once a year for the kids to see. A decent chance of meeting some cool people there, but management is....(see cons below)
Svantaggi
Marketing: This is a retail company, and when marketing offers 10-20% off coupons every day ON TOP of already low prices (still can't beat Amazon 98% of the time though)...well, you "make" less money as a whole, and that leads to layoffs and budget cuts. Budgets: HUGE problems here. Certain departments have gone YEARS without getting vital equipment and staff. When things blow up, putting them back together again can be very difficult and lead to more stress, more work for those already in place. Management/Leadership: 1. President: Why she is where she is, I have no idea, she must have something on the CEO. Watch your back here. 2. SVP's: Some are trying their best to get more for those under them, but dealing with above...not getting much if anything. 3. VP/Director: Next level is where you go from bad to worse in most cases, and I'm talking about the corporate part of the company here, CS really has it good I'd say. VP's and Director's have a tough time managing all of what they're given. 4. Managers/Leads: For the most part good to great! These are the people that hold the team together and keep team morale up. There are a few though that just can't get along, you try to clean up what was a huge mess, and they come down on you thinking you're trying to "steal my thunder" or some crap. Word of advice, if you want to help the team by making it better, go to the person above them and talk about it first. And again, fix your budgeting Overstock, it's killing the company and all of its employees.
