Direction from management changes a lot.

No pensions have been paid in years, constant letters and emails from nest pensions saying that contributions have not been made Yearly redundancy dating back to COVID testing it was always explained to new employees that the redundancy reviews were only because COVID testing stopped yet the past three years have had massive redundancy every year. Management are beyond incompetent clueless and oblivious. HR are useless as well... A big complaint from a lot of the science staff is that no real science takes place here it's all smoke and mirrors, ideas and plans go nowhere, people are sent off to work around the uk and one person was even sent to China but nothing ever comes from these ventures... Employees missing money from paychecks and temp staff not paid for months Very shady business practises take place and rules set by city councils are intentionally bypassed to meet payment requirements, rules for onboarding of the bootcamp constantly shift and change. The company is an absolute joke... Everyone had the feeling it will be sold or going under soon. Some very talented scientists work here but are underutilised, management wouldn't know how to use them anyway as none of them understand the science the workers can do, some of the best staff and scientists were made redundant as they challenged ideas and some of the other good left and now there is no direction from management who seem to just want to turn it into a school General manager is very condescending to almost everyone yet lacks the capacity to understand what is actually taught on the bootcamps and courses. Pay rises are promised but with no clear pathway to obtain them, massive benefits are promised at the interview stage, things like free child care, career upskilling and generous annual leave and pensions yet none of these things are even vaguely delivered on. This is not a place to go for career development many if the science and admin staff feel like it's more of a stagnation than any form of progression
