Managers cherry picked promotions and or raises. Mistletoes were hung over the department to see who would kiss the most behind for advancement. Managers did not know how to perform for the job accepted in fact most in QC were the worst except for a few, you know who you are! Lots of conflict of interest where old supervisors from other companies were allowed to hire their past direct reports into groups with their past reports reporting to them with management knowing! Lots of new lazy analysts being hired and its totally okay with management cause as long as they are apid their 6 figures they don't really care what goes on in their departments as long as metrics are met so their bonuses are secure! There are some managers that need to be placed on pips for poor management style and on high turn over rates, you would think that HR would be concerned with one group losing over 7 people within 1.5years under the same management!!!!! This is a red alert but at BIIB its normal!
