I was working for the business nearly 3 years, 6months into my job the the manager left. There was only 2 of us (consultants) when there should a team of 5, for nearly 8 months, in this period no manager was hired.... the business hired a new recruitment consultant to join the team that lasted 1 week, then another 2 weeks, then another 1 day. which clearly shows something. FINALLY A NEW CONSULTANT joined team, myself and colleagues helped with support/ training / business development. This work was not noticed by the regional manager who just been promoted. The old Colleague had enough and transferred branches. i was now left with a 2 new starter support the team team with everything a manager should do, problem solving so it does not go higher up to regional as i more then capable of handling everything in the branch, payroll, training others, and all other duties a consultant have as well as running old colleague desk with no benefit to me. 1) no clear career pathway 2) manager only showed favouritism 3) wrong allegation made against each other 4) Payroll dept make so many errors which the business is aware but action taken 5) no motivation and drive given throughout the years 6) commission structure is not competitive enough - manager talks in thousands but consultant only gets hundred. 7) IT policy is not clear enough, as everyone login in to each other PC (every branch does this) but only 1 individual get warming . 8) I achieved my 6 mouths probation targets- was promised a pay rise did not get this until the following year, waited two years. 9) No objectives / PDP done for over 9months. 10) only had 1 yearly review. 11) no clear structure 12) high staff turn over Some people may be loving there jobs- my experience was great when i started however the last 6months things got out of control, horrible experience in my branch and felt used, not paid enough etc but i am sure other branches maybe different and experience could be amazing. i am now working for a competitor, been offered an senior consultant position and with over 4k pay increase.
