Leadership doesn't listen to employees. It's churn and burn as current staff is overworked, over resourced, underpaid, and forced to hold accounts together as people leave and new people or contractors come in without proper training. This leads to unhappy clients, subpar work, and unhappy employees. You'll have to fight for meager raises after 1.5 years and watch new hires brought in at higher pay rates and titles. Blue State definitely talks the progressive talk, but they don't walk the walk when it comes to their own employee equity. An open vacation policy that is very hard to use, and almost frowned upon. Some people take a ton of vacation while others can take very little. Benefits are okay, but not great. There's still significant out of pocket cost for medical benefits. Lots of nepotism. Misogynistic or racist behavior is swept under the rug and ignored by some clients and staff. Managers and leadership gaslighting employees is a frequent thing. Leadership really doesn't know how to run a company or manage teams.
