Vantaggi

The benefits were great compared to other companies.

Svantaggi

The Board of Directors and ELT are so shady and unethical, only care about lining their pockets - they DONT care about their employees at all. A Board member went behind former CEOs back to change their health plan so that the Board could be added to the plan, so their medical bills would be covered. They then let the amazing CEO go in a dishonorable way, b/c he couldn’t be controlled. Put in place a puppet who lives up the former CEO’s & board members “you know what” and doesn’t know how to run a business. CEO is so narcissistic, he can’t lead a meeting without talking about himself and all the things he’s done. He hired a snake, put the HR organization under her, then she turned on everyone, gate keeping for CEO. HR was so miserable, with no leader or support, engagement scores plummeted & every one left. (7 people in HR left within 3 months!) Board & ELT make decisions on their own greed, and not Employees needs. Bluelinx had so much potential and people loved it under the former CEO and ELT. The company will continue to suffer until they recognize the to put their people first. Attorneys don’t know how to do that. Engagement scores don’t lie.

Vantaggi

Not too many. They do provide logo shirts etc.

Svantaggi

No clear direction. Local leadership is not honest nor transparent. No annual reviews. Feedback is rare and untimely. The 80/20 business model for customer loyalty is shortsighted and surreptitious. Local GM manipulates quarterly/annual goals and gross margins effecting commissions. High turnover with Territory Managers. Conflicting sales goals and programs. Experience is not valued. Executive leadership is focused exclusively on bottom line. The running joke is instead of "Delivering What Matters" they are "Talking About What Matters". Too many generals and not enough sergeants. Some General Managers profess to be "Servant Leaders" however they are disingenuous. I wouldn't recommend working here unless you really need the job, and then, don't plan on a long and rewarding career.
