Any positive review seen on Glassdoor, Indeed, or any other site for this company is absolutely untrue and is created by HR in attempt to make the company look better. - Management has absolutely no idea what they are doing and are completely unprofessional and are only in it for the money - considering that is where all of our funding goes - right into the pockets of upper management via absurd salaries and bonuses. - The lab staff are the hardest working individuals but are constantly abused, gaslit, and ignored by upper management. Don't plan on expressing concerns to HR or upper management - nothing EVER comes of it. - Before Christmas break, we were told in a companywide meeting that "we could not be in a better place as a company". Right after break, there was a massive layoff that was completely unexpected and included essentially only lab staff. Despite some individuals being there for years, they were only allocated 10 minutes to leave the building. The way management went about it was extremely cold, unjust, and toxic to say the least. Management is NOT to be trusted. Do NOT listen to a single thing they say. They even hid the layoff and our financial status from higher up employees that were entering the company - leaving them in the dark. - You will find yourself doing the job of 2 or more people if you work here. You will also find yourself doing your manager's job - creating slides for their presentations, making budget spreadsheets, etc., all of which is not part of the job description. Not to mention OT is unpaid but EXPECTED if you work here. - The culture is extremely toxic. The only good people are those that work in the lab and then a few other individuals in other departments. HR consists of one person and is an absolute joke. HR does not care and may be one of the most unprofessional of them all. - The lab staff slaves away only to get mediocre (at best) salary and benefits, while management spends thousands of dollars on hotels, rental cars, food, salary for themselves, etc. - The salaries listed here on Glassdoor are NOT accurate and are inflated to make the company look more appealing. The actual starting salary is around 50k for a RA so do not waste your time. The salaries are also completely unfair. Individuals with lesser degrees and experience came in making more than individuals who have been at the company, have prior experience, and a higher degree. This question was asked to upper management and their response was that they hired anyone at the salary they requested because they needed hires quickly to meet deadlines. The pay is extremely unfair at BSB. - In the last 6 months everyone in the lab has been trying to leave BSB and the turnover rate has been astronomical, with around 12 employees leaving all within a few weeks/months of each other. Everyone there is looking for a way out - don't put yourself in that same boat. - Whatever you do, do NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!! The insane toxicity, dealing with upper management, gaslighting, etc. is NOT worth your time.
