Vantaggi
- maybe some good people left but I hope they’re looking for other jobs ASAP - once was a solid eng team... most people are now gone, laid off, or outsourced
Svantaggi
- impotent leadership with atrocious culture and stewardship - total lack of product vision, which makes planning and execution very difficult (constant changing of priorities, nothing meaningful ever gets done, projects that took years and cost MILLIONS of $$$ are left on the shelf with no marketing budget) - rampant internal politic structure protects the “inner circle” or the “ivory tower” - complete lack of innovation regardless of what leadership wants you to believe, or how many gongs they ring at an eng all hands - at least on the eng side, it’s becoming a sweatshop type environment where poor leaders are incentivized to meet unreasonable deadlines and consequently ask for engineers to work nights and weekends regularly - poor communication from the top down - the CEO is also on the board of the parent company and thus no longer looking out for Bluebeam’s best interest but rather that of Nemetschek - zero backfilling of roles for people that have left (meaning if you stick around, you do the same work for no comp change) - really incompetent leadership, like starting with middle management (at least on the eng side) but especially the C-suite - no raises (with really lame reasons like “you’re at the top of your bracket already”, even after the CTO asked you personally to put in extra hours to deliver on something and alluded to some kind of comp adjustment when the project was complete – just tactless carrot dangling) - more and more outsourcing - literally the worst leadership I’ve experienced in my career, particularly the new CTO.
