Boeing is a very big business with excellent onshore leaders that have big plans for the organization. However, if you want anything in life, stay away from Boeing India Pvt Ltd. The management of Boeing India deserves credit for upsetting the staff and ultimately pressuring them to leave the company. There is so much corruption at the management layer that no data-driven, fact-checked judgment is made by them. Worker support tasks are assigned at random. - Office infrastructure is awful. In the office, every time you step away from the system, it disconnects wifi and VPN. You go to conf room and same problem, wifi will be disconnected. Atleast 3-4 times you have to connect to wifi and VPN when in office. My home network is much better but management without any rationale asked all employees to return back to the office. - Internal communication is pathetic- No one knows who gets promoted, who is senior manager, who has taken up which role. That's why all this comes out in gossip - The sole function of entry-level IT managers is to approve timesheets. Technical conversations are not possible. - Managers like taking business vacations to Jaipur and Goa, and they refuse employees' requests to visit the lab or go on onsite travel even when they have a legitimate reason. - Employees have to work on outdated technology and the same projects for years because all the good work is done onshore. - If an employee resigns, managers stop talking to him/her and start giving them silent treatment. He/She will be ignored for 2 months while serving the notice period - Managers have 0 compassion towards employees. Employees are treated very badly by senior managers - IT Managers are not supposed to have technical or product knowledge. They are just people managers in that also they are failing miserably - Managers keep on getting promotions based on how many employees report to them. They keep hiring people with not much expertise and raise their levels - The first metrics in all the senior manager presentations is to show the number of people they have added in their portfolio and how many they will add in the near future. No numbers are shared on how many people left the company or the reasons why they quit - 'We are listening' events are conducted for the namesake. These sessions are for 2-3 hours and only employee questions which are considered worth answering are transport, food, WFH policy etc. Actual questions are not even displayed on the screen. These sessions must be renamed as 'We won't listen'. - Most of the conference rooms are occupied by managers and employees have to attend their meeting from their desk disturbing the others on the floor - Biased managers approve WFH for their favorite ones while ignoring others who come to office regularly on designated days - HR policies are also going in a downward trajectory. Earlier benefits were very good as compared to the industry but not good anymore. Co-payment in medical insurance for parents has been introduced. The HR team won't even prepare rangoli. No one whom I referred to ever called for an interview. - Employees are ready to let go of their Boeing stocks worth lakhs to get a chance to leave the company. Unfortunately, those who have stocks have spent so much time already in Boeing that they are not getting good opportunities outside. Boeing will spoil your resume forever. - There are no rules for you if you are a manager but all the rules (doesn't matter how lame they are) are implied on individual contributor employees - Join only if you have an offer of a manager position or higher. Technical roles are like slaves and you very soon will be irrelevant in the market. - Cost cutting can be observed everywhere from washroom tissue papers to blue colored plastic drinking water glasses - Those who are currently working at Boeing India must also take note that if you have spent more than 2 years in Boeing India, you are already irrelevant in the market. Do everything to quit as soon as possible. - They made employees buy properties in North Bangalore (far far away from their actual office space) as their own campus is getting ready near Bangalore Airport. But mostly managers stay within the city (Sarjapur road, Whitefield etc.) hence they won't agree to shift to the new campus. All those who fell victim to the thought that they will have a flat near the office are now lamenting. - Managers are not technically capable of rating their reportees. Many managers won't even know what are the responsibilities of their reportees and on what to rate their performance on. Irony is that they will eventually rate their reportees performance at the end of the year and employees who are not rated fairly will have only one option to quit - BIETC CIO is busy hiring folks from her last company. Senior manager Ghosh babu doesn't even know how to talk to anyone. He is very rude. - BIPL will soon be renamed as Bengali India Pvt Ltd. If your domicile is West Bengal then you can have a bright future provided you lick your boss's shoes. - All Bengali managers plan their onshore trips together. It seems like a family get together - I have not seen more selfish managers anywhere, they only think of themselves, their onshore travels, their promotions and zero responsibilities towards their reportees. Even if you ignore all the above to still consider joining Boeing India then ask HR which department you are going to join. If it is part of IT&DA, just let it go. Trust me, it's not worth it.

Vantaggi

Easy going, nice benefits, free further education (masters/PhD). Great for an engineer starting out who needs to dip their feet in the pool of engineering for a few years and to get a great 401(k) match at the start of your career (compounding growth). Great for late stage career due to the benefits and solid enough pay in a low cost of living area

Svantaggi

pay-scale lagging, no emphasis on learning new things, no punishment for people who are bad at their job. After working for 4 years, I feel like I should have jumped ship after 2. I haven't been given meaningful work that really challenges me in a while. Now I feel pigeonholed into staying because I have enough years of experience that I really should be considered senior, but I haven't been given work that reflects what I senior engineer should be capable of. Now I'm trying to jump ship before it's really too late. If I stay here another 2 years I think I will be genuinely unemployable and will have to stay at this company forever.
