Svantaggi
Avoid working at Bokksu, there are far better organizations that will value you and treat you like a human being. This company is a terrible place to work due to its egotistical leadership, with Dan and Danny displaying behavior that starkly contradicts their claimed "no ego culture." Their management style is marked by a lack of genuine concern for employees, leading to severe stress and health issues. This is a snack company that they treat like it's changing the world, but in reality, it's mundane and should not be treated with such a level of intensity. Frequent layoffs (3 rounds this year alone) create instability and job insecurity. The work environment is toxic, characterized by a harmful bullying culture where leaders show favorites and can be extremely rude to employees who clearly are trying their best but have no real support. They openly talk down to employees at all levels in an appalling manner, demonstrating blatant favoritism and a lack of respect. Because they are leaders they think they can speak to employees without respect or regard and it trickles down into a workplace that is constantly on edge. Gender discrimination is evident, with women being assigned stereotypical tasks like setting up lunch and organizing events and generally disrespected at a higher rate. Despite the high pressure and urgency, there is a severe lack of necessary resources, resulting in overwhelming workloads. The leadership's distant approach, without providing tangible support, exacerbates the stressful conditions. Additionally, the management's frugality and indifference to employee welfare further contribute to a deeply unpleasant and harmful work environment. This lack of compassion and support has led to actual health problems and burnout for many employees, necessitating time off or leaving the company entirely. Although this is a snack company, the CEO's constant attention to what everyone was eating was bizarre. He strongly encouraged people to eat lunch together in the office and would make comments on everyone's food, portion size, cost, etc. He also constantly made inappropriate comments about age, gender, and other aspects of identity, which did not align with the company's supposed values. Do not work here if you value your mental health.
