There are a lot of talented technicians and hardworking people here who care about doing the job right. Many teams take pride in their work and the technical experience can be valuable for anyone in aviation. The new GM also seems to genuinely care about the workforce and has already started making some small positive changes. It’s still early, but the direction feels more people-focused and that’s encouraging to see.

One of the biggest frustrations is the lack of clear communication, particularly when it comes to HR processes and employment status. Contractors often seem to be left in limbo for long periods of time once their original contract terms are up. People continue working without clear communication about whether they are being converted to full-time roles, extended, or what their long-term situation actually is. That uncertainty can go on for months and leaves people without clarity about their future. Another issue is career advancement. The facility can sometimes feel like a “good old boys club” when it comes to promotions and internal opportunities. There is a perception among some employees that advancement depends more on relationships and who is in good standing with HR or leadership rather than clear, transparent criteria. Several employees have raised concerns internally about communication and fairness around these processes, but the same issues continue to come up, which makes it feel like the feedback isn’t really being addressed. Overall, many of the frustrations employees experience could likely be avoided with communication, more transparency, and stronger accountability in HR processes.
