Imagine working for a mom and pop shop. It's exactly like that but its a toxic e-commerces tech company. Do not work here. Leadership has no idea what they're doing and constantly looking for someone to blame while simultaneously micromanaging you. They pretend to look for new and innovative ideas but its all a lie. You're nothing more than a yes man / woman. There is next to no communication and you're expected to read their minds. Also the entire dev team is on the other side of the world where they are overworked and underpaid. I've gotten to hear their complaints and they also don't like working for them. Plus for some reason they're obsessed with everyone coming in the office in 2022 when 90% of the leadership comes in late or doesn't show up at all but yet will treat everyone like a child. All of their good talent leaves for reason. If you're desperate for a job then take this for the pay cheque but do not stay here long. Move on somewhere else. This job is toxic and you should do everything you can to avoid the toxicity.

There's alot this company needs to fix

Management is failing grade in their technical skills and operational abilities. They will blame their poor decision making on their employees, by constantly stopping and start projects, wasting precious time and resources, and failing to advance business goals. They won't listen or take outside advice, and there's a complete lack of focus. They will take on far too projects many at once that they don't have the knowledge to execute on. Turnover at the company is a complete mess. There was 100% turnover in staff over the last year. Roles are were vacated and then refilled as the latest project or idea didn't work out, or if the CEO was in a bad mood that day. There's no opportunities for learning. In fact, if you emulate how they operate it would be best to unlearn your experience with this company. Management can't explain how you will advance your career in this company. The office vibe is bad, and they are going in the opposite trend when it comes to work from home and how tech companies are run with more flexibility. Seems like the owners just want to hire a slate of assistants, to be at the whim of their beck and call. Compensation levels are not up to par with other software companies. The technology and IT team are an outsourced third party company in eastern europe and have their own rigid way of working. They can never hit their delivery dates, the software is always "buggy" and everything runs through a single person. They aren't keeping up with modern technology and leadership just keep adding random feature based on what they want to copy with competitors or copy from open source projects.
