Arguably the worst job I've worked; the interview left the impression that I'd be working on the shop floor with customers however instead I was stuck in a basement for hours at a time. Everything that I was told in the interview were lies; the hours I got given were wrong and I didn't get told that I would be doing an insane amount of manual labour (I'm a small girl so it was a lot for me). Management were abhorrent and spent the majority of their time asking me to do jobs for them since they could not be bothered to do it themselves. No safety precautions doing basement work either, as well as no contact information so if you had to call in sick then there was no way to do so. Genuinely the most depression job I've worked. Other christmas temporary advisors all experienced the same where they were lied to in the interview and told they were doing completely different jobs. Also didn't help that the 4 managers were all useless and spend the majority of their time talking to each other in the office when you need their assistance on something. Once the christmas period had ended, other staff members treated me as though I was a ghost and bullying (including calling customers and other staff members slurs) was prevalent.
