You're absolutely stuffed if you don't have a line manager you don't get on with-I was actually quite lucky with mine-she was willing to bend the rules. Somewhat ridiculous system for booking holidays-18 week notification for time taken off (longer than the notice period to leave the damn company!!!) You feel as though you don't have a voice in the company-middle management just strolls in and acts like the bossy roommate and change the way things operate (often for the worse) without even a by your leave-management visited the branch several times and didn't even acknowledge floor staff-(only once to admonish one of the assistants for not wearing a promotional t shirt....) Lack of communication between call centre booking staff, Poor support from Central resources -we were constantly left without cover on busy days,and then they're trying to place the blame on staff for figures dropping. Just a total shambles
