Vantaggi

Most fantastic colleagues I ever worked with (30+ years) Nice place to "be from" Good opportunity to meet and work with stimulating government clients For relatively senior staff, benefits package is good and for those +55, 401K vesting is instant

Svantaggi

There's "no there there" anyomore. IPO is slowly strangling the culture = quality of working life Most incompenent first line managers I have ever experienced; worse than government...and Booz Allen ALWAYS backs them up Annual assessment project does not do what it purports: for a tiny raise they want a perfect human being; assessments focus far more on the negative than positive. Booz is fairly expensive for clients now in this pricet-sensitive environment, leading to techtonic turnover in contractors--and availability of positions for staff Booz is shedding senior (more expensive) people in favor of junior (cheaper) hires Probably still good if you are young and command a relatively low salary, but otherwise, avoid it or expect to receive the disappointment of your life Utilization (100% funding) isn't the most important criterion for tenure, raises, and promotion, it is the ONLY criterion. Don't believe whatever else the recruiter tells you.

Vantaggi

Strong mission-focused culture with meaningful work supporting national security missions. Great exposure to diverse projects, talented teammates, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to develop skills across security, intelligence, cyber, and consulting. Benefits and professional development resources are solid.

Svantaggi

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
