Svantaggi
Most issues started when this company merged with another internal AI team, which created winners and losers. This company was the winner. 1) Promotions or high impact initiatives only go to winners or people that mgmt love. Total abuse of power and lack of accountability. So if you are looking to get into this company figure out who are winners. They also recently laid off a lot of people mostly from the 'not winner' group. Also at in-person events, goodies will be given to winners first. The rest is picked by the rest of the group. 2) A certain prof took their students as FTE and their wife works in recruiting. But others have to pass through a lot of hoops to hire FTEs or even interns. 3) Product mgmt is very stakeholder-driven. No regard to users and the role is more like project mgmt. Even if the product doesn't work, nobody cares. 4) If you are looking to grow as a people manager - 'Scaling people' book is your bible. Leaders at this org love and follow that book ' 'literally'. 5) Growth isn't two-way, meaning they just want them to win, not their employees. So, there is no room for personal growth, and curiosity is encouraged only on your own time. 6) Very research-focused and the company is led by folks who have no 'practical/applied' experience. So if you are looking to grow as a researcher in fintech - this maybe a good place. 7) Managers are left in limbo because leadership isn't transparent. 8) Pay discrimination exists.
