3yWe appreciate your feedback and we are sorry to hear about your 2-star experience at Brazen. Throughout 2022, we have continued to enhance our employee experience in a people-first way. Here are some initiatives that you may have missed since you departed...
We rolled out Brazen’s “functional tracks” which outline the competencies required for specific roles and job levels. This tool is specifically designed to facilitate employee growth and development so employees (generally in collaboration with their managers) can regularly assess how they’re progressing in their careers and better prepare for promotion or cross-team mobility opportunities.
We exited our PEO and in July, we introduced an expanded total rewards program. We believe all employers play an important role in destigmatizing mental health so we partnered with SpringHealth to eliminate barriers to mental healthcare for Brazenites. Every employee and their dependents have access to FREE mindfulness, coaching, and therapy!
We also expanded our leave programs, including the “Brazen Brain Break” (encouraging employees to take at least one day off per month) and Flexible Time Off (which allows employees to have the ability to take time off without the rigidity of an accrued time system).
We have formed 5 employee resource groups (a 6th one launching early next year), doubled the number of our engagement events, and we expanded our all-company meetings to "align, inspire, and educate" Brazenites on all things pertaining to our people and product. We surveyed our employees and validated that these experiences align with their preferences of "purposeful communications".
Like most tech start-ups, we faced some challenges this year, but we do not believe it's a drawback to keep a positive outlook at all times, which is also aligned to our core value "We Always Find the Fun"!
Thanks again for your feedback and we wish you all the best!
