Vantaggi
*****Posted this review in Jan 2022, before they rebranded as Brightly, so I am re-posting for Brightly. That is how strongly I support this message to folks considering employment at Brightly (formerly, Dude Solutions) Pros There are some truly good and talented people that work at Dude, unfortunately, they are leaving rapidly for less toxic environments. Individual contributors and mid managers (plus a few senior leaders) really do seem to care about the products, their customers and each other. The "work from anywhere" benefit really did come in handy at the beginning of 2020 and the Help Desk team made that possible without any disruption to business as usual. Benefits Analyst is thorough and helpful and Client Support team is amazing - though, significantly overworked. CEO seems to be genuine but is clearly fulfilling his mission which was to acquire, grow via acquisition and be acquired.
Svantaggi
Cons Career advancement is nil and those in leadership roles are not focused on coaching or mentoring their employees. It's a very "what have you done for me lately" mentality. Massive attrition numbers where root cause was never discussed - Dude hemorrhaged people in spring 2021 (incredibly tenured people with loads of experience) and attrition numbers were outside of the "great resignation". HR leadership is, at best, a total joke and an abysmal example of a "people team" - the person that runs Payroll is a nightmare to work with and has made several people wonder why they even ask questions - curt, rude and all around miserable to engage with. CHRO is breeding negativity and is painfully unaware of how she presents to the greater organization - irreverent and dismissive of anyone that cannot bolster her career at Dude/Brightly. Marketing and Product teams are vastly overworked and unhappy - Product and Engineering are constantly at odds and the disconnection is easily seen and felt throughout the organization. Sales is a revolving door of new SDRs that receive minimum training with the majority of strong leaders having left Dude mid 2021. Any semblance of "culture" has left the building and Dude is certainly not a "people first" organization; you'd be hard pressed to find a former Dude that would ever return. I would not work for that leadership team again for 10x my salary. 10:10 do not recommend. Advice for management: Remove the dull dogs that sit on the executive leadership team OR insist that they complete rigorous sensitivity and advanced acumen courses if removing them is not an option. Conduct 360 evaluations and skip levels with the worker bees - REVIEW ALL EXIT INTERVIEW DATA.
